
The Mayhew Animal Home operates daily as a rescue centre for unwanted, abandoned and abused dogs, cats and rabbits. We also have a Community Veterinary Clinic on site providing low-cost and certain free services for pet owners irrespective of location or financial background.
The Mayhew strives to tackle the companion animal welfare crisis from every possible angle, which is why in addition to our rehoming work, the charity runs many pioneering community and educational initiatives to benefit both animal and owner.

The Mayhew Animal Home offers a range of training programmes and the Community Veterinary Clinic is an approved training centre for Veterinary Nurses. We also work in conjunction with The College of Animal Welfare (CAW), offering course based qualifications in Animal Care.

The charity’s onsite Community Veterinary Clinic offers low cost neutering (including free neutering for all bull breeds), low cost vaccination & microchipping clinics.
The International arm of the charity supports animal welfare projects in countries such as Afghanistan, Peru, India, Nepal and Russia to promote best practice for companion animals globally. Mayhew International also offers training courses for vets from other countries at our London facilities as well as assisting with field clinics in welfare hotspots abroad.
